Mo Li Oolong "Jasmine Jade Oolong" from Anxi, Fujian, China, is a fine example of traditional tea craftsmanship. Hand-picked and rolled leaves are dried together with fresh jasmine flowers, giving the tea its characteristic aroma and taste. The dry leaves have a distinctive blue-green color, and the brewed tea has a light green hue. The aroma is a harmonious blend of lilac, jasmine, pineapple, and green tomatoes. For this tea, we suggest that you try the traditional Chinese Gong FU style to brew your tea. The idea behind this technology is to use greater proportions of tea leaves for water and very short break times. By using more tea leaves and having very short brewing, you only manage to extract parts of the entire taste spectrum. The tea can then be enjoyed in so -called "sections", which gives a much more nuanced experience. As the taste develops gradually and it is much more leaves, this contributes to a much more intense taste than when brewing in Western style.
